Greenwoods Estate Health Spa & Retreat
From inception Etcetera Construction Services were a key part of this prestigious project to design and build a 4-5 star hotel and health spa retreat within the grounds of a former grade-2 listed country manor house and estate.
Works comprised the refurbishment of the original manor house into bars, restaurant, conference suite, library, administration offices, kitchen etc, plus premier bedrooms. In addition the construction of a new wing extension accommodating pool, gymnasium, aerobics studio, 10 room spa, shop and 40 standard bedroom suites. Estate grounds were restored and new landscaped areas added plus a number of ancillary support buildings.
Retaining and refurbishing the existing building to modern standards required intensive historic restoration techniques, specialist fire engineering services, and craftsman and artisan skills. New construction included a 1.5 storey deep sheet piled basement plus pool tank, integration of extensive building services and full interior fit out to a luxury bespoke standard including the procurement of all furnishings and fittings. Complex in design, construction and management the project was delivered to programme and exceeded all Client expectations.
